My Weight Loss Approach
My approach flies in the face of conventional wisdom that says, “If you eat less and exercise more, you will lose weight”. Why? Because this approach just doesn’t work for a lot of people who struggle with weight challenges. We all know the “skinny” person who can eat whatever they want and never exercises and the person who eats next to nothing, exercises like crazy, and can’t lose weight.
People who struggle to maintain a healthy weight usually struggle with other chronic health conditions like: Type II Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, Hypothyroidism, Fibromyalgia, Skin Disorders, IBS, Migraines, Joint Pain, and any other number of health challenges.
Doctors will often say, ” You are unhealthy because you are overweight”. I would argue that you were unhealthy first which led you to be overweight. Just like you are unhealthy before you have high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol, and cardiovascular disease.

This is were the paradigm shift must start. You were unhealthy FIRST and than you developed health problems including obesity.
If you’re overweight you’re not alone. Presently in the United States 34%, or 1 in 3 adults is obese, while 17%, or about 1 in 6 children is obese. The question must be asked, “Why are obesity rates increasing?”
